Charting Time and Space: Multi-Site Theater Education via Computer Mediation

Transatlantic TheaterDance, a company dedicated to cultural exchange and Inclusive performing arts for people with and without disabilities, will do a brief lecture-demonstration illustrating the nature of their work, and follow with some interactive exercises for conference participants, giving practical tools that can be applied to their teaching practice and/or research portfolio. The goal is to demonstrate efficient, low cost methodologies for using internet videoconferencing to expand the possibilities for teaching theater to people with and without disabilities, regardless of cultural boundaries.

Is Artistic Director with Transatlantic TheaterDance, a multi-site company dedicated to inclusive performing arts and cultural exchange, for people with and without disabilities, and formerly served as an administrator with the Disability Art and Culture Project, a 501c3 Non-Profit under Oregon Cultural Access. Ramey also enjoys traveling to autism conferences to spread the love of dance to Autistic adults and to expand their fluency with self-advocacy and Autistic culture. He earned his Masters degree in Theatre Arts from Portland State University, with coursework emphasis in disability and the performing arts. He frequently perseverates on religious topics of all sorts, has a love of music (heavy metal and classical), and has been known to perseverate on the history and functionality of the tuba as it relates to the larger performance ensemble.
